Agri-Food System Innovation and Partnership

The CGIAR’s ability to contribute to development impact needs to be grounded in an understanding of how these processes work, and on the identification and adoption of practices that enable it to do so. The creation of a scientific basis to link innovation practice to development impact is thus of particular importance to the CGIAR as a science organization, and is critical to the ISPC’s role in providing advice on AR4D and partnership strategies.

Consequently, this ISPC work stream supports the development of agri-food system innovation and partnership policy and practice guidance, based on analyses and interactions that reveal the scope of change processes at play, how these unfold over time, and their relationship to the scale and nature of impact achieved.
