James Stevenson

Agricultural Research Officer

James has been with the Secretariat since January 2010 working on impact assessment with SPIA, and on strategic studies such as the one on conservation agriculture (2012 – 13, with Ken Cassman). In this time he has published outputs from these studies in journals including PNAS; Applied Economics Perspectives and Policy; Agriculture, Ecosystems and Environment; and Global Food Security. He brings experience from Oxfam GB where he was a senior advisor on program effectiveness for three years, and he holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics (University of Reading), MSc in Ecological Economics (University of Edinburgh) and B.Sc. in Zoology (University of Bristol).
